The Call to the Beloved (online)

The image of ‘the beloved’ in different traditions can be seen to represent the heart’s longing, but what does this mean?

We could see the Buddhist path as plumbing our depths and opening beyond conditioning to spaciousness and universal love. Kindness, awareness and understanding awaken our heart, and we come closer to what feels true for us.

Reflecting on different aspects of Buddhist teachings, we contemplate this heartful desire to experience the mystery that the beloved represents, even amidst the pain of the world, and explore what supports its resolution.
