In the habitual process of getting, the main point is not getting this or that, but getting "the getter" -- that is, becoming somebody.

In our compulsive pursuit of goals we contrive a dichotomy between journey and goal. Understanding that they are one gives poignancy to our lives.

To be really present in our journey through life we need to put aside the road maps -- i.e. the grids that position us within the familiar -- and transcend them.
