Living with AIDS these last eleven years, I populate a vivid landscape between life and death. I bring to teaching this sense of the fleetingness of existence. I have faith that however dark or difficult the circumstances, with mindfulness and the forces of the heart, they are ultimately workable.
When teaching, I do not shy away from the provocative and the challenging. I love to explore uncomfortable edges in a skillful, loving and gentle way. Living with an ever-present sense of gratitude, these days, I make every effort to fully live the teachings. My prayer is to know a life of love, joy, and responsibility; to be awake, fully engaged and spread my wings as far as they will go. I hope this sense of possibility saturates my teaching.
