Moving Into Meditation: Working with Hindrances through Mindful Yoga (4-week class series)

In this four-week class series of mindful yoga and embodied meditation, we'll focus on using the tools of yoga to work skillfully with some of the classic hindrances to meditative presence, such as restlessness and anxiety, sleepiness and sluggishness, craving, aversion, and doubt.

The class is designed for yoga practitioners who want to deepen into meditation, meditators who want a more embodied sitting practice, and anyone who wants to connect more intimately with body, heart, and mind. You'll learn to begin or deepen the practice of seated meditation in a way that builds on and complements a yoga practice, and how to practice yoga in a way that nourishes and expresses mindfulness.

Each two-hour class will include mindful yoga asana and pranayama, meditation instruction and a 30 minute sitting, and time to ask questions and share discoveries.
